Technology for educational achievement in rural schools

A new computer lab was set up by our U.S. friends to enable children at Hope Junior School to learn basic computer skills. We believe that access to technology is essential for educational success.

The children now have the opportunity to learn basic computer skills such as word processing, excel spreadsheets, databases, graphic art, and much more.

The lab is powered by solar energy. Hope Junior Schools becomes the only school in the area with a standard computer lab. The children are very excited and are eager to learn.

We are very grateful to our friend Phil from Richmond for his generosity. He set up the lab for us in the summer of 2019. Many thanks also to the engineering students with EWB from Virginia Tech who assisted Phil in installing the computers.
