The beginning of a new school year can be stressful for families. At Hope Junior, some children report to school with no school supplies because their parents are unable to buy these requirements. With the generosity our friends, we are able to provide the school supplies the children need.
We are grateful to friends who have stepped forward to sponsor several of these children, giving them a chance to dream of a better future through education.
This is Judith in Grade 6. She and her six siblings are orphans. Their mother died four ago and the father abandoned them in a dilapidated house. Judith being the oldest of the girls took on the role of mother for her siblings. She recently got a sponsor and thus an opportunity to return to school.
The young ladies also receive supply of feminine hygiene products critically needed to keep girls in school.
Nuldin is an orphan and recently joined us at Hope Junior School
This is Sawiyah and so excited to be back in school.
Recent Development
+Ibra returned home in June after a year in Richmond for cancer treatment. He is now at school and continues with some treatment.
+Several children are recieving needed medical attention through URF’s healthcare outreach program.
+Enrollment at Hope Schools is at 400 students from kindergarten to Grade 6 and Form 1 – 4.
+Constructing three blocks at Hope Junior School for classrooms, computer lab, library, main hall, offices, and dormitories.
