 Kelly Fischer, CA-USA  Kelly Fischer, USA (Nov 10 - Dec 12, 07) 

Kelly Fischer, from San Francisco, California, currently works as a preschool teacher. She recently turned 24 yrs. old and graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a B.A. in Sociology and Education. Kelly is passionate about education and exchanging knowledge with children and others. She will volunteer at Hope Integrated Academy and then go on to volunteer in the Dominican Republic. Kelly can't wait to arrive in Masaka and meet all the children and begin a cooperative journey of learning with the children and other adults.

 John Benson Wallo, USA

 John Benson, MN, USA(Nov-Dec, 2007),

 John is from Minnesota. He is a senior Peace Studies major at St. John's University.

 Aaron Wallo, USA Aaron Wallo, USA(Dec 07),

Aaron Wallo i s 24 years old and is from Sterling, Virginia.  He has recently graduated graduate school with a Masters degree in physics  from the University of Virginia.  His passion in life is his faith in God and his relationship with his savior Jesus.  Aaron is using the year 2007 to travel around the globe and see the world.  In coming to Masaka he hopes to make friends, learn from their culture, and help Uganda Rural Fund serve the people of Uganda.                                             

 Amy Klosterman, MD- USA  Amy Klosterman, (July 31-Aug 30, 2007), MD- USA. 

 "Amy Klosterman is a classical pianist and teacher living in Baltimore, MD.  She is currently employed at the Baltimore School for the Arts, a performing arts high school, and Loyola College in MD. This will be her second visit to Africa, but the first trip to Uganda.  She is very grateful for the opportunity to spend the month of August working with URF. "
 David Rawlings, UK  David Rawlings, ( Aug - Sept, 2007), U.K. 

 David comes from Bristol but is currently studying History and Russian at Nottingham University. He spent last year teaching at a school in China and has also travelled around America and Europe. He is really excited about coming to Uganda, and especially about looking after the pigs in the piggery!

 Jodie Burden, UK  Jodie Burden, ( Aug - Sept, 2007), U.K. 

 

 Jordie is also from Bristol and is in her second year of a degree in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at Nottingham University. She volunteers for her university's helpline and hopes one day to qualify as a social worker. She is very excited about visiting Uganda and meeting all the children!

 Rev. Neil Munro, UK  Rev. Neil Munro, (Aug 03- Sept 02, 2007), UK

Neil, 61, is a retired schoolteacher and school chaplain. He is a permanent deacon in the English Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle and li ves in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. He has never travelled outisde Europe and is very excited about working in Uganda. He has worked with young people all his working life, and has always found this very rewarding. His 'minder' on his travels will be his son Will Munro.

 Will Munro, UK  Will Munro, UK (Aug 03 - Sept 02, 2007).

Will, aged 31, is a 'Mature' student in Newcastle upon Tyne, England studying Geography. He is travelling to Uganda with his father ( Neil Munro) and is greatly looking forward to assisting in the orphanage and school in any way he can.  His main  passion is for football and especially his beloved team Team Newcastle United, although there is no truth in the rumour that the main purpose of his Ugandan travel is to unearth the next great African footballer!  ( Although it would be very nice if he did!!)  Will is very excited about travelling to Uganda and hopes to make a positive impact. Both father and son intend to build solid relationships in Uganda in order to continue their fundraising acivities when back in England.

 Denise Grove,

(June - July, 2007), MN, USA

 

Denise is from Handover, Minnesota. She received a BA degree from Bethel University in 2005 majoring in Marketing and a minor in socio-cultural studies. For the past two years, she has worked for US Bank, spending over one year now helping managing one of the busiest and most successful branches in the country, providing her a breadth of management experience. Denise has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Urban Homeworks, and Sunday School. She is passionate about helping others: “I have always had a desire to help people, but an experience while hiking in Ecuador really has changed what I feel my responsibility to others is”. Denise has also traveled to Mexico, China, Hong Kong, and the Caribbean before. She is looking forward to her experience in Uganda.

 Kelly Anderson, MN-USA Kelly Anderson, MN- USA (June - July 2007): Kelly is a 2006 Bethel University graduate.  She majored in a Political Science and History.  Kelly currently works at Webber Law Firm in Edina, Minnesota conducting legal research for employment and family based immigration cases.  She is involved as a volunteer for various Minnesota non-profit organizations and currently has plans to attend graduate school in the field of international relations, focusing on development.  Kelly is looking forward to meeting and developing friendships with people in Masaka.
 Kyle Miller (Feb - March),  Kyle Miller (Feb - March, 2007), from California, pursuing B.A. in Economics, International Relations, and Media Studies at Claremont McKenna College. He recently completed a Semester at the University of CapeTown in South Africa.

Elizabeth Genzler

 Benjamin Kaster and Elizabeth Genzler (Oct-Dec, 2006) spent three months (Sept-Dec) working on various projects in Uganda. Ben graduated with a degree in Peace Studies from St. John's University. He plans to enter Medical School upon his return from Uganda. Elizabeth is a rising senior at the College of St. Benedict, Minnesota.
 Amanda Young  Amanda Young, Aug 2006,a nursing student at Inver Hills Community College in Minnesota spent two weeks in Uganda this August working on various URF projects.
 Matthew Kuntz  Matthew Kuntz, August 2006  volunteered in Uganda during August. Matt recently graduated from Law School in Oregon.
