URF|USA is a registered 501(c)(3) non-charity (Tax ID: 20-4118165). We are an international and grassroots Community Based Organization that exists on non-political, non-denominational, and non-sectarian principles. Our vision is based upon bringing together all interested individuals and groups to join our efforts in ensuring that AIDS orphans, needy children, and marginalized communities (especially those most affected by the AIDS epidemic) are empowered and reintegrated into society as we delop and maintain thriving, productive, and sustainable communities.             

Why We Exist

Uganda Rural Fund was formed to focus on creating educational and sustainable development opportunities for orphans, impoverished youth, and women in Uganda's rural communities. The principal philosophy behind URF's mission is about believing that a better life is possible. We seek grassroots solutions to local challenges in an effort to help people help themselves.

What We Do:

Through our partner, Uganda Rural Community Support Foundation, a community based organisation, we support the Nazareth Children's Home for 17 kids, after-school program, women empowerment, youth leadership and community engagement, chicken project, piggery project, and community outreach. The Hope Integrated Academy is an education initiative involving vocational training programs, a community library, computer center (with free Internet services), entrepreneurship and leadership center, a science center with laboratories, youth resource center, and a medical clinic. All these services were previously not readily available to the community.

Breaking News: The Hope Academy is scheduled to open on May 25th with grades 8-10. Needs: $2000 to finish a classroom.  $500 a teacher's salary a semester. We also need $2000 to finish a room for the medical clinic. Many more Needs
