Cattle Keeping Project

The major objective of this project to raise high-breed cows that will produce quality milk which will feed the children at Nazareth Care Center. In Africa most children in poor homes often suffer from malnutrition. This project seeks to address this crucial problem by providing enough milk at the center which will ensure a healthy diet for the children.

Once we have reached our projected milk production capacity, we anticipate a high production in excess of our home consumption. The excess milk will thus be put on market in the neighboring community; the revenues will increase income that would ensure self-sustenance for Nazareth Children's home.

This project will also enhance the production of bananas/plantains. The cow dung manure that can be used as fertilizers for the banana plantation. The banana plantation is our major food production for the Children's home.

The Need to Improve and Expand:

We are currently seeking funding to expand this project. It would be good for the Home to have more cows that would ensure sustainable milk production for the children and for sale to raise more money for children's needs such school supplies. A project proposal for funding was prepared to address this need.
